After a rough week last week, I was pretty thrilled for the weekend come Friday and this weekend did not disappoint. The first Saturday of fall soccer is always fun, almost like New Years day…but in September! We were blessed with a beautiful day, a win for Carson’s first flag football game, a win for Carly’s soccer game, a definite NOT win for Ciara’s first soccer game (but lots of smiles anyway….at least they were cute!), and another win for Carson’s soccer game. It was a very busy Saturday, but a great day none the less!
Today we celebrated our youngest Princess’s 5th birthday. Hard to believe she is five already. Days can seem to drag on and then we have something like a birthday party and we wonder where the years have gone! This is a pretty big year for her. She started preschool too, it’s almost like she is a big kid now, tear, tear! I hope for her that becoming a big kids means learning to sleep in her own bed and maybe saying good bye to the blankie…as I said…I HOPE!
Of course since it was a birthday weekend that meant that I got to go crazy and make all kinds of fun stuff this week. I will admit I think I went a little over board, at least that’s what my other kiddos said when they asked why I haven’t decorated this much for any of their birthdays yet. I think I might have set my future birthday party bar a little high this time! Her theme was Disney’s Frozen and let’s just say I think I was just as excited about it as she was! Here are a few pictures of the fun!
This weekend definitely filled my Joy tank! It’s a good feeling to have going into a new week.
Psalm 127:3-5 “Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift? The fruit of the womb his generous legacy? Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth. Oh, how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children!”
And blessed we are!
