Free to let it out

I am dedicating this post to my husband who loves all things Switchfoot.

I have been tossing different topics around in my head all morning and then I heard this song on the radio and it just came!

Today is a special day for me, 34 years ago today I entered this world eyes wide open. I often find myself asking God…why? What was he thinking when he created me?

Switchfoot says is perfectly in their song “Let It Out”….from the day we’re born, we are scared and torn, we’ve been scared to sing out loud….but the next verse in the song is my favorite. But we don’t care no more, cause we know life is short. We don’t care who hears us now. Breathe it in and let it out.

I may never know exactly what he was thinking all those years ago when he formed me and counted every hair on my head (I imagine that took him a very long time). But what I do know is that he had a purpose. He purposefully created each and every one of us. And all I can do now is take it easy, let him keep pushing me higher. Really, everyday is a gift, everyday is a new chance to breathe it in and let it out!

About believingjoy

Who am I? That's a good question! I am Jen...a blemished woman who enjoys a tidbit of tidyness mixed with dash of craziness to create a life that is simply mine! I adore my 4 children and their daddy. I love little bits of wild like tattoos and things that make us unique. I like to mix vintage with new and strive for progress over perfection! I believe that not a single person on this planet is perfect and that's okay, it's what makes us who we are. My desire is to find joy is all circumstances with a smile and a choice to believe.
