Do you ever go through a period of time and continually see the same word showing up? This has been one of those weeks for me. I keep hearing God whisper “Be brave!”
Courage has made its appearance in my life this week is several ways.
I saw it when I encouraged someone close to me to have a difficult conversation, to be brave!
I felt it in my own conversations. I felt the tugging battle of being brave, yet holding my tongue and remaining graceful.
We had to make some tough decisions to stand up for our kids this week and be brave for them.
I encouraged my son to purposely do things that are scary and different, to step outside of his comfort zone, to experience life….to be brave!
This morning my sweet little youngest child stepped into “the big school” with a huge smile on her face. She was ready for kindergarten roundup, she was brave!
The theme of my Bible study this week had a courageous flair. It emphasized the point that we do not have to do it all, just start with one brave step.
I am encouraged to be brave in my writing. Some friends challenged me to stop putting off the desires of my heart and start bravely pursuing my dreams.
There comes a point in our life that we have to say enough is enough. I will not be bossed around, taken advantage of, controlled, boxed in, scared, or weak. I will stand up, take a deep breath in and do the very next thing, even if it is hard!
I will not let fear hold me back anymore. God has given me his wings of protection. In him I am free! I am free to be me, fight for my family, stand up for what I believe is right, to do the very next frightening task!
I love what the Bible tells us in 2 Samuel 10:12 “Be courageous! Let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. May the Lord’s will be done.”
Friends, will you stand with me today and be brave? She who is brave……is FREE!
