A Mother’s Day Prayer

Today is Mother’s Day. I have shared this verse before, but it applies so much to this day that I had to share it again.

Friends, motherhood is a journey. On this journey there will be hard times and good times. I know I am alone when I say that most days I have no clue what I am doing….I just trust that God will guide me. There are so many unanswered questions when it comes to mothering, we can only place our hope in Him and know that someday we will have all the answers.

Today, I pray this verse over all of my mommy friends. To those that are seasoned mothers. Those that are mommies-to-be. To our angel mothers up above. To the ones that are still waiting to conceive. To those that are waiting to hold their babies for the first time either on this earth or in heaven. To all the mothers of every kind…this prayer is for you.

Seek Him daily friends! My you prayerfully place your children in the arms of Christ and and have hope that they will be ever protected, loved, and guided. Trust in the power of prayer for your children and in God’s purpose for them. As you do this, let the Holy Spirit come over you and fill you with His all encompassing peace. In this peace may you see joy in every moment and confidently continue on the path he has set before.

I am thankful for all of the women that have been inspiration to me as I raise these gifts God has blessed me with. I treasure each moment I get to spend with our four beautiful creations. I am so fortunate to still have my mom and her friendship and spirit filled guidance as a mother and Nana. Although I may not understand ever detail of motherhood. I truly do trust in God and believe in his providence and I pray that you do as well!

Happy Mothers’ Day!

About believingjoy

Who am I? That's a good question! I am Jen...a blemished woman who enjoys a tidbit of tidyness mixed with dash of craziness to create a life that is simply mine! I adore my 4 children and their daddy. I love little bits of wild like tattoos and things that make us unique. I like to mix vintage with new and strive for progress over perfection! I believe that not a single person on this planet is perfect and that's okay, it's what makes us who we are. My desire is to find joy is all circumstances with a smile and a choice to believe.
